Sarah + Ben's Awesome Pittsburgian Wedding

I first officially met Ben & Sarah when they came to Boston to have me shoot their engagement session. Since then we have become such great friends. The two of them are such amazing people and I am seriously so lucky to have a job where people like them come into my life. Well about a year later they tied the knot in Sarah's hometown of Pittsburgh. I had never been there and I am so glad to finally get a chance to go. What a beautiful town.

The wedding itself had so many amazing details it's hard to talk about them all. From the bowling after-party, to the cookie & candy bar, to even Sarah taking a break from getting ready to snuggle her cat (the poof), to the custom designed stationary used throughout the evening, and how Sarah's sister surprised them by reenacting that scene from Love Actually after they walked down the aisle together, you know THIS one. I could rant all day about how beautiful it was and how much fun I had. But I know why you are all here. Photo time!

Jay + Laura's Engagement Session!

So remember that contest I did a little while back? Yea things didn't go as planned...BUT it resulted in me hooking up with this awesome couple who's wedding I will be shooting this coming September!  People might know Jay from his really awesome band Defeater who just got back from tour, or maybe you know him from recording your other favorite bands?  And some other people might know Laura from her work on the Watertown TAB. But if you aren't familiar with these two, you should work on that, because I have to say I consider myself very lucky to have such amazing clients.  So here is a quick preview of the engagement shoot we had at & around Laura's parent's Boxford home. Aimee + Chris are engaged!

Aimee and Chris are great.  Is there much else to say? Yes. There is a lot more to say.  They have a beautiful house right on the NH border in Maine. They both have super cool jobs (CHRIS WORKS ON A SUBMARINE!!). And they have a woodsy cat named Hank.  We started off by taking some photos in the woods behind their house and then we moved on to downtown Portsmouth, which is not only where they regularly hang out, but also where they had their first date!  Such a beautiful town with so much character, I can't believe that was my first time there.  As usual I'm blabbing, here is a peek into some of the awesome shots we took with this killer couple.  I can't wait to shoot their wedding, I know its going to totally kick some butt. Joe & Carrie's Springtime Engagement Session

Joe and Carrie are a seriously fantastic couple.  I met them last year at Kenny and Melissa's wedding, and we clicked immediately.  We decided to shoot at the Arnold Arboretum because it is a very special place to them and we lucked out with one of the few spring days this year.  We had a great time laughing and joking and talking about going to shows and horror movies.  I loved hearing about how they first met and how Joe took Carrie on their first date to the Sunset Grill here  which is a favorite spot of mine.  I can not wait to shoot their wedding later this year, it should be a blast! My final spring break

So last week marked my final spring break EVER since I graduate from Emerson College this coming May. I went back to South Florida to visit friends and family. I decide to spend most of my time just taking it easy decompressing and relaxing with family. I mostly left my SLR at home and opted to shoot with Instagram on my iPhone a lot. I did take the camera out with me for a few events such as a block party/ho-down in my sister's new neighborhood, seeing my friends A Loss For Words play @ the Culture Room in Ft Lauderdale, a shoot with an adorable pair of sisters (to be posted later this week) and to help my good friend Joe Perri out on a wedding. It was nice to just sleep in and hang for a full week and not worry about work. Life has been really stressful lately and now I'm back in the B and it's back to the grind. Be on the lookout for some business posts soon, I am looking to add some new blood to the Zac Wolf Photography team.
