Wedding
Alison and Paul got ready together in their apt and we took the 10 minute walk over to their venue. A beautiful ceremony at the Arlington Town Hall, and a great reception at the Whittemore Robbins House and a night that ended with an ice cream truck. Oh heck yes.21+21=42 and 42 is the answer to life, the universe, and everything.

I've been looking forward to this wedding since the moment I met Alex and Sean. They booked me sight unseen and we ended up having the world in common once we got to know each other, so I had fairly high expectations. And after a 5+ hour drive to NJ from my Brighton home for this Ship Bottom wedding I was for sure not disappointed. Not only are the two of them awesomely kind and sweet, but all their friends and family are just as great and they were able to keep their spirits high even if it drizzled, we still had a really great time, the two of them wouldn't let anything damper their big day! I am so glad to share these images from their May wedding with you guys! Also a thank you to Dana from Henry + Mac who tagged along for this wedding.

I've known Blair since my punk rock days in South Florida. She now lives in DC and has met Josh who is an amazing guy working in the House of Representatives. So here's the thing, this wedding was a total of 6 people. The two of them, and then both of their parents, and the venue? Oh just the rotunda of the Capital building... Josh's mom officiated, Blair put her dress on in the public ladies room. After a really beautiful ceremony we had 2 hours for portraits all over DC. The rain that was supposed to happen all day waited until right before we got into the cab to the restaurant. So I got to end the night by joining their families for a delicious dinner at Willow Restaurant. This wedding made me beyond happy. The whole day was mind blowing and I am so ecstatic to finally share these images with the world.

I do not know enough words to accurately describe my love for this wedding and these two human beings. I clicked with them instantly when we bonded over our roots in punk rock, our love of cooking and comedy, it was instant friendship. And the two of them, their love for each other is amazing, just perfectly beautiful. I remember when Andrew e-mailed me the video of him proposing, I knew it was coming, yet I still sat at my desk and cried like a baby. They kept reminding me throughout the whole process that photography was their #1 priority and I have to say, it makes my job even more amazing to work in that type of situtation and when given a "do whatever you want" canvas, we end up with the glory that are these images. I am so glad I had the chance the be a part of their big day, and I am happy to now call these two friends.
